Bad news, Bond fans. In just over a week's time, you're going to have find a new spy friend on Netflix. On September 2, 17 of the spy films will disappear from the site's streaming video library. No more Goldfinger. No more GoldenEye. No more a lot of things.
The good news is that a few good movies are coming to Netflix at around the same time, namely Zoolander and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. But no male model or acid trip could replace the smooth-talking, straight-shooting British spy you love. In some particular order, these are the films that are about to disappear, including links to Netflix to watch them one last time:
- Dr. No (1962)
- From Russia with Love (1963)
- Goldfinger (1964)
- Thunderball (1965)
- You Only Live Twice (1967)
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
- Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
- The Man With the Golden Gun (1974)
- Moonraker (1979)
- For Your Eyes Only (1981)
- Never Say Never Again (1983)
- A View to Kill (1985)
- The Living Daylights (1987)
- License to Kill (1989)
- GoldenEye (1995)
- Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
- The World Is Not Enough (1999)
If it's any consolation, this kind of thing happens all the time on Netflix. So don't be too distraught. We're all in this together.
DISCUSSION
Goldfinger, License to Kill, and Goldeneye all make for an awesome netflix movie binge.
