Samsung's long-linger F700/u940, has been rumored to hit the big V for a while, but Phone Area's reporting that it's now locked and cocked in Verizon's internal InfoManager as the Glyde, though sans date or price. Spec sheet confirms cam's cut to a paltry 2MP but all the old specs look otherwise intact, but with added goodness of EV-DO, and Verizon's usual scarlet bag of tricks like VCAST and VZNavigator. I like it, but i need a shot of the thickness, as it looks like it has some cushion for the pushin.
I like it a lot.
It could very likely be my next phone.
(Unless something cooler comes along that is...)
do want and will purchase soon.
Fairly decent looking phone. I'm with Darrone, I need to see how thick it is.
1.9" thick

Howard Forums and more recently Engadget both have pics of this phone (including thickness). And I don't see anything new in this report that hasn't been known for weeks or months over on HoFo. Though I guess if Phone Arena got "official confirmation" from Verizon it is a bit more reliable.
I was going to get this one but now I think I'm going to wait it out for the "dare". Supposedly its supposed to hit on July 4th (which conventently is right after my contract expires).
That one will probably require a fair bit of in store testing though. We'll see what early reviews say on it. If the touch is as bad as the voyager and they expect me to use an on screen QWERTY I might just end up with the Glyde.
@tande04: holy bricks, batman! that scared me.
the phone is actually 0.7 inches thick and 1.9 inches wide, everyone can relax now.
and if sprint starts letting you bring over phones from other CDMA companies...i can deal with verizon's chit menu style for this sexy phone. or let sprint get an instinct-like device with a slide-out keyboard, or release the HTC raphael early.
@rimplestultskin: I was hoping it would be considerably thinner than the Voyager, but it doesn't seem to be so. I guess it comes down to how the screen looks and the keypad works in person, before I settle with the Pearl or even the enV2.
