There weren’t many color photographs taken in World War 2, but there were a few, and In Focus has a nice look at a selected few with this week’s edition of their weekly tribute to that global conflict.

While many of the shots were staged, In Focus’s Alan Taylor notes these people and their jobs were the real deal. There were 1,600 photographs in all, most of them of women in war factories or workers conducting other homefront activities here in the States. The captions included with the photos, for better or worse, are the originals. [In Focus]
