We’re not sure what to think about Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows. The trailer was screamingly silly, and yet Burton has said over and over that he doesn’t view this movie as a comedy.

So what is it? A hor-com? We’re not sure — but what we do know is that the costumes in this newly released collection of stills are goddamned gorgeous, and there’s hardly a stripped pair of tights in the bunch. So is this a new side of Burton, or more of the same?
Dark Shadows will hit theaters on May 11th.
