A researcher from NTT Cyberspace Laboratories has developed technology that could be used for a “3D mouse.” The setup consists of ping pong balls with circles drawn on them and a normal web camera. Movement or rotation of the balls will be recognized by the web camera, somehow translating into six degrees of freedom.
