Netflix dropped the official trailer for season two of its live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series today. The company also included a version of the trailer with audio descriptions. It follows a shorter teaser trailer released in December 2025 which introduced the fan-favorite character Toph Beifong (Miya Cech).
Like the teaser, the official trailer dedicates a good chunk of time to Toph, a blind Earthbender who joins Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) as Aang’s teacher. In the original animated series, Toph is 12 years old and something of a tomboy—a brash, tough-as-nails wrestler—but, in the live action series, she has been aged up. Cech has also said her version of Toph will be “slightly more feminine” than the original.
Elsewhere, the trailer highlights the Earth Kingdom and its capital, Ba Sing Se. Princess Azula (Elizabeth Yu) and Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) also get some standout moments, and Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim) makes an appearance, too.
Reception to the live-action series’ first season was split, with some fans appreciating the changes it made to the cartoon’s story, and some claiming the changes actively worked against the themes of the story. One thing they both agreed on, though, was that it was at least better than M. Night Shyamalan’s live-action film disaster.
Avatar: The Last Airbender season two premieres on June 25.
