You've probably been watching A Charlie Brown Christmas since you were small enough to still believe in Santa Claus. But did you know it originally aired in 1965, almost 50 years ago? So it seems only fitting for the Blockhead Trio to re-record the animated special's instantly recognizable holiday soundtrack using similarly vintage synths and drum machines.

A Blockhead Synthmas might not be like the usual holiday tunes filling your Christmas playlists, but it definitely deserves a place in your collection. If only because the Korg 770 synthesizer and Yamaha MR-10 drum machine are both as much classics as Charlie Brown himself. And it's the only time of year when you won't mind getting the Vince Guaraldi Trio's Linus and Lucy track stuck in your head—except this re-mastered version is much cooler.
