Blasting out of Earth’s gravity well and into orbit seems like it’d be anything but a calming experience. The first few minutes of the descent back home, however, are downright soothing.
The footage below was captured by a GoPro situated inside a fairing from one of Space X’s recent Falcon 9 rocket launches. Sure, things will get a bit wilder for this lil’ camera the descent continues and the gravity picks up (for example). But for now, sit back, grab a beer, and enjoy those first slow, sweeping views of our planet. Pure serenity.
