Dating can be a very dangerous endeavor when you’re a praying mantis, as one unlucky insect gent learns in the adorable short film Lovebites. It turns out that, after all that preparation, Cecil the mantis doesn’t know what happens at the end of a nice romp with a lady.
Lovebites was made by Agaki Bautista, Aram Davern, Michael De Caria, and Jonathon Iskov, with music by Peter Lam. It’s a cute bit of insect-based slapstick, macabre romance and all.
