The walkway between the two towers of Jakarta’s Shahid Perdana, the building project scheduled to open in 2010, looks like a crashed spaceship. But the towers themselves have traditional Indonesian Batik patterns. Here’s a gallery.
The towers also have a white pod-like main entrance structure which flares out slightly to link to the base of the skyscrapers. The buildings, designed by local architects Urbane, are mixed-use, with offices in one tower and a hotel, condos and luxury spa in the other. [Skyscraper News and See Jakarta]
