From thinking they don’t need licensing deals, to “aggressively courting” the big record labels, Amazon’s change of heart on the Cloud Player storing/streaming issue will likely cost them dear. Sony is feeling particularly disgruntled over the move, with a spokesperson saying yesterday that they’re “keeping all of [their] legal options open,” and another rep, Martin Bandier (the chairman of Sony/ATV Music Publishing) calling it “just another land grab,” elaborating that he thinks it’s “really disrespectful, and of course we are considering all of our options.” [WSJ via TechRadar]
