Owl Turd Comix’s We Go Forward (by Shenanigansen) was one of our favorite webcomics of 2014, a surprisingly affecting tale set in a side-scrolling video game. Now YouTuber pipocaVFX has made an animated version of the comic.

While the remake (made with the cartoonist’s blessing) is fun, it also makes me more impressed with the sense of timing that Shenanigansen is able to convey in his static panels. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to deal with this lump in my throat.
