This is The Gloaming, a 11-minute film by Sabotage Studios and director collective NoBrain about a mysterious stranger on a desert planet who presides over a spherical colony of yammering, short-lived humanoids. Alternatingly sublime, grotesque, and somewhat not safe for work — there’s a smidgen of cartoon nudity toward the beginning — this satirical animation depicts a cosmic creator who’s just as confused as his subjects are.
