Not really. What it does mean is that we'll have better looking games and 3d apps. ES 2.0 isn't to make things easier(in fact, it makes what ES 1.0 does more difficult, since no matter what you have to rewrite the graphics pipeline), it just expands what you can do since you can write custom shaders to offload work from the CPU.
