Here’s a haunting tune to end your weekend. Band of Horses’s The Funeral is parts depressing, completely indie and partially eschews the sad vibes present in member Mat Brooke’s earlier offerings in the group Carissa’s Wierd (sic).
If you hit play above, give the track a chance. I know I said that thing about eschewing and all that just now, but this one takes a while to get cooking. Let it simmer, be patient, and consume slowly for best results. Maybe have a tissue handy. I dunno. You know you better than I do.
