Batman's gone through a whole host of different rides over the years, but this is the first Batmobile that's environmentally conscious and lets Bruce Wayne protect the innocent and the environment.
Mostly, we're just a sucker for any car that comes with a ridiculously overcomplicated diagram of all its insane features. Those features include:
- a carbon fiber body that "breathes"
- a hydrogen fuel cell
- lithium-io9 batteries
- hubcaps that light up if Jason Todd tries to steal them
Actually, we're just taking a wild guess about the light-up hubcaps.
The car is the work of designer Gordon Murray, best known for the MacLaren F1. It's not for the new Christopher Nolan film — just in case the hubcaps weren't enough of a clue — but rather for the Batman Live stage show. But we quite like the idea of Bruce getting a more cutting-edge Batmobile. [Inhabitat]
