BlueDot’s new “BDP-1930″ has everything I was seeking in a portable DVD player except for a low price. It features a slot for an SD memory card, Memory Stick, or MMC, as well as a DVD drive. What really struck me as nifty, though, was the universal playback support: MPEG-4 SP, DivX, XviD, MP3, and JPEG files can be played from any of the above sources. It has a 9” screen with an 800 x 600 resolution, too, so there’s a lot of potential. But what’s this? A 49,800 yen price tag? Nevermind. I’ll stick to my PSP.
