Brits Prefer iPhones To Flushing Toilets

Illustration for article titled Brits Prefer iPhones To Flushing Toilets

I think each of the 4,000 Brits who participated in a survey of the 10 greatest inventions ever should have their toilets taken off them for life. See if there's an app for that!

Supermarket carrier Tesco Mobile polled 4,000 people, and found that while the wheel, aeroplane, light bulb, internet, PCs, telephone and penicillin were worthy of being in the top seven spaces of the list, the iPhone came eighth—-ahead of the flushing toilet at nine, fridge at 14, and cars at 19.

I'm going to make it my life's mission to hunt down every single person who completed that survey, and rip out their toilets. Who's with me? [The Telegraph via TechRadar]

There are a few brits under the impression that the first human was a very resourceful chap who invented air while choking.
