Dell has finally decided to start selling desktops with AMD processors, in line with the predictions of analysts. Starting in September, you’ll be able to buy Dimension desktops with AMD processors. Dell didn’t release any details of which processors they’ll be using in the desktop systems, but the current Dimensions are mainly low-end and entertainment systems, so they’ll probably start at the budget end of the scale. Servers with AMD Opteron Processors will also be available by the end of the year.
