Take a gander at the 1935 version of Batman, defender of Hooverville! Artist Francisco Francavilla has just released some concept art from his mysterious period-piece Batman comic. Check out the Dark Knight’s new retro look.
Francavilla revealed these two bat-pieces on his blog, but was still mum about the details:
I have been messing with a Batman story set in the 30s for a while now, and decided to share some of the concept art I have done (above). Especially now with the news coming from ECCC that DC is planning a new season of Wednesday Comics, I feel even more inspired to develop a little more this story, fully packed work schedule permitting. 😉
Please let that mean we’re going to get a 1930s Joker sometime soon!
