Well, the nominations were certainly promising, at least. This year’s Emmy Awards—finally handed out last night after a strike-related delay—had the potential to recognize fandom favorites like Wednesday, The Last of Us, Andor, and Hulu movie Prey. In the end, sci-fi, horror, and fantasy didn’t exactly score big—but isn’t every nomination a win for genre TV?

Here are all the genre shows snubbed at the Emmys last night, which televised the biggest awards like Best Drama Series and Best Actor. We should note that HBO’s The Last of Us did pick up eight awards (it was nominated for 24 total), mostly in the technical categories; Storm Reid and Nick Offerman also won for their guest-starring roles. Wednesday won four technical awards, Prey and House of the Dragon won one each, and Andor won… nothing.
