The Lego Batman spinoff from The Lego Movie is going to be amazing, because not only will it star Will Arnett’s amazing Bat-voice, but also because the film will recognize every film iteration of Batman from the past.
Thank goodness Lego Movie writers and directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are attached to the Batman spinoff, because now we can count on this flick to be special and most likely hilarious. Lord and Miller are producers on Lego Batman, but they still have great ideas.
In an interview with Empire, the two revealed their plans for playing with the many iterations of this classic character:
“Rest assured that every era of Batman filmmaking will be acknowledged. There have been so many interpretations of Batman and there is so much to play with there. There are 40 versions of his origin story alone.”
And just like that, Miller and Lord continue to make Hollywood a better place by actually coming up with clever and witty ways to address strange entertainment world problems. Everything these guys do is great, the end.
