From Nissho Electronics comes the “WinSafe VETM v.4.0” series of PC security systems, the more interesting of which is the “WinSafe VETM 4.0 for FeliCa/Edy.” You may remember that late last year NTT DoCoMo introduced their line of mobile phones with integrated FeliCa chips; here is where things come together. By putting your FeliCa compatible phone nearby, your PC can be unlocked — certainly much easier than using your fingerprint. No telling what happens when someone steals your phone, though.
