So much news passes before our collective eyes every day that we couldn't possibly cover it all. Mostly because much of it isn't worth covering! But here are a some borderline tidbits we passed on, just in case.
Stop me if you've heard this one: The iPhone 3GS might end up being fr—oh, you have? A dozen hundred thousand dozen times? Yeah, but guys, this time it might actually happen. The 3GS might end up free on a two year contract, which would sort of undercut Apple's move into the affordable arena, but hey, "Free iPhone" is fun to float, right guys?? [MacRumors]
The first time you saw The Empire Strikes Back, you'd prooobably already been keyed into the big reveal, right? Not this little fella. He runs the whole gauntlet of emotion from "OH MY GOD THAT IS GNARLEY" to "Oh, wait... seriously?" to "Hoooooold on, NOT COOL ASSHOLE." [Neatorama]
HBO Go is awesome, and it's totally great that Showtime's trying to fall in line with ShowtimeAnytime. Really! But right now, all we have is a service in its nacent stages, available only through a few cable providers, and with no dedicated streaming app. That's not the same! Let us know when we can actually use the thing and we'll be allll over the serial killers and pot growers. [Engadget]
