Nothing is safe. Not even chocolate. As indicated by a recent letter sent to their customers, Hershey just suffered a security breach that resulted in a changed recipe. I really hope they didn’t change their chocolate chip banana bread.
The Consumerist reports that someone broke into the Hershey’s server and messed with a recipe on their site. No word on which one, though, and they state there was no indication of consumer info being compromised. The letter was written in the interest of transparency, and to alert their chocolate lovers of what’s going on. Good deal. Certainly not as big as, you know, hacking the FBI or Lockheed Martin, but still pretty big! Just think of the children. [The Consumerist via Today]
