We’re Obsessed With the Meta Fits on These New Star Wars Toys

You didn't know you needed to see Stormtroopers and Battle Droids in Star Wars t-shirts but you do. You really do.

The Star Wars galaxy has many rules, but one that largely goes unspoken is that no one wears a t-shirt. Vests? Collared shirts? Armor? Of course. Long flowing robes? Obviously. But we never see Han Solo or Princess Leia get out of bed and throw on a graphic tee. It’s just not the vibe in a galaxy far, far, away.

That is, until now.

For May the 4th, Hasbro just revealed three new Black Series figures that come not just with a meta Star Wars t-shirt but also devilish accessories for target practice. Each figure will be out this spring at a specific retailer, and here are some images.

First up is the B1 Battle Droid, which will be available exclusively at Target.

Here’s the description: “This 6-inch-scale figure features premium design and deco, multiple articulation points, and a soft goods ‘Roger Roger Robotics’ t-shirt. Pose out your figure with the included blaster accessory and the ‘target practice’ poster of the legendary Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Window box packaging features the classic black and yellow color scheme and a “5.04” collector number.

“Roger Roger Robotics.” So dumb. We love it. Next up is the Scout Trooper, who’ll be available at “Fan Channel” retailers (that’s places like Hasbro’s own Pulse website, Amazon, GameStop, and other online storefronts).

“This 6-inch-scale figure features premium design and deco, multiple articulation points, and a soft goods ‘Endor Biker Club’ t-shirt. Pose out your figure with the included blaster accessory and the ‘target practice’ poster of the Endor forest’s defender, Wicket W. Warrick. Window box packaging featuring the classic black and yellow color scheme and a “5.04” collector number.”

Finally, there is the standard Stormtrooper, who’ll be available exclusively at Walmart.

“This 6-inch-scale figure features premium design and deco, multiple articulation points, and a soft goods ‘Pew! Pew! Pew! Squad Goals’ t-shirt. Pose out your figure with the included blaster accessory and the ‘target practice’ poster of fan-favorite scoundrel and Rebel hero, Han Solo.”

These figures are, objectively, stupid, but we also totally love them. Why not have some fun with these figures? Why not make soft goods in-universe Star Wars t-shirts? I want more of these. I want to buy a whole packet and put them on characters from throughout the ages. Let’s get this going.

Are you going to pick any of these up? Which is your favorite?
