The world we currently live in loves the old world we used to live in. To a point. Everyone gets lovesick with nostalgia and pines for the good ol’ days but no one will ever really go back in time because it means our iPhones will be older and Facebook won’t load as fast. So in that yearning for yesterday, we decide to purposely make totally brand new furniture look older and more weathered and distressed and stylistically vintage—to remind of us of the character of the past we now lack (and have to fake).
Still. It’s pretty cool how Dileep Industries makes the piece and really cool to see the tricks they employ—strategic sanding, expert level spray painting—to make ‘shabby chic’
