The 2011 Atlantic Hurricane season just scored its first named storm. Meet Tropical Storm Arlene. Arlene developed overnight in the Bay of Campeche off of Mexico.
An Air Force hurricane hunter is flying in the storm right now, and measuring winds between 54 and 67 mph (though the latter may be a gust). Interestingly, this is the tenth time Arlene has been used as a storm name, making it the most common of all. [Wunderground]
