Spike Lee recently re-tweeted the home address of an elderly couple that he mistakenly thought was George Zimmerman’s house to his 256,000 followers. Last night, Jon Stewart rightly—and hilariously—took him to task on The Daily Show.
After commenting on how sad it was that these innocent seniors were subject to an abusive public, Jon Stewart made the point that Lee’s apology should probably have not taken the form of a tweet.
