Judy Greer is a very funny lady, but she’s not known for “monkeying around.” (Get it? GET IT?!) That will all change as she’s been cast as Cornelia the love-interest chimp in the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the sequel to Rise.
Apparently Cornelia made an appearance in Rise, but 1) it couldn’t have been a large part because I have no recollection of it and 2) at any rate, she wasn’t played by Greer. I don’t know how she’ll do in a motion-capture suit compared to Andy Serkis, but everything else she’s done has been uniformly awesome, so I’m very optimistic.
Still, I wouldn’t particularly mind if Cornelia gives Caesar a “Say goodbye to these!” At least for the blooper reel.
