KDDI Japan's Delicious Spring Keitais Look Like Candy

You can't buy cellphones from KDDI unless you live in Japan. You can't even import em and use em here. But clicking around their website and exploring their spring line up of handsets feels like a museum. From the future. I've explored random Japanese handsets before and still enjoy looking at them, no matter if the foreign UI renders them nothing more than pieces of electronic art. DISCUSSION

KDDI: "Hey guys, check out my new lineup"

Verizon: "psh, please...I've got the Voyager and this little packet of gum shaped music player/phone thing"

NTT DoCoMo: "That Voyager's touch screen input is about as accurate as throwing a water balloon at a dart board, and you're right, the Juke does look like a pack of gum...a really, really thick, beastly pack of gum, but Good job KD, those are rather slick, check out my new 200 different models launching this month too, I think you'll dig em ;)"

KDDI: "Aw, thanks DoCo ^_^"

Verizon: "What?? My phones are the most cutting-edge, sleek devices money could buy on the market today!! Not only do they come with VZWmuzik, VZWmapz, and a whole slop of proprietary madness, the Voyager has a TWO megapixel camera!"

NTT DoCoMo: "Did you not just see KD's little new 5 megapixel cybershot number back there? And please, we all have full-blown tv and video conferencing on our handsets..."

KDDI: "o_O"

Verizon: "Will you guys please quit it with the stupid emoticons?!?!"

Tmobile: "Hey guys!"

Verizon: "ugh, what do you want Tmo?"

Tmobile: "Just wanna show off my brand spanking new moto krzr with super-fast edge data, 64mbs for all your mp3s, and a 1.3 megapixel camera right on board!"

KDDI: "o_O"
