Countless hours spent streaming “lofi beats for studying” wouldn’t be the same without YouTube’s iconic Lofi Girl, and now you can show your appreciation for the sultan of chillhop by spending real money to buy her very real wireless headphones.
For the first time, the official Lofi Girl store is selling a true-to-cartoon version of the character’s wireless headphones, called the Lofi Pro. They’re a bit pricey at $225, but they are a very faithful remake. They even come with the googly eyes on the side, though they’re magnetic, so if you want to detach them for a more ambient look, you can do so easily. The earcups are also magnetic, so you can remove them for cleaning, though it’s unclear whether replacement versions will be sold.

Outside of the very authentic silhouette, the Lofi Pro come with active noise cancellation (ANC), a 48-hour battery life when ANC is on (65 without ANC), and a 3.5mm jack if you want to listen to them wired—they even include a cable in the box. Those are all fairly standard features for most wireless headphones, but the real question is how they sound. For $230, I hope they sound more hi-fi than lo-fi, but it’s hard to know without hearing them myself. There’s no listed driver, but the official Lofi Girl shop says the frequency response is between 20Hz and 20kHz.
For most people interested in buying this pair of headphones, all of that other stuff won’t really matter, though. These are almost exclusively about cosplaying as everyone’s favorite mascot for studying while drinking hot beverages.
This would have been a huge win for Halloween costumes across the world, but unfortunately, these wireless headphones are only on preorder right now. The preorder runs from Oct. 19 to Nov. 14, and they’re expected to ship before Christmas.
