Philips recently developed and showed off Lumalive, a technology that integrates LEDs into normal, everyday, and most importantly, wearable fabric. Right now, the technology is being pushed onto the marketing folks who demand "dynamic" and "powerful" and "superior" forms of advertising for today's attention span-deficient public. As always, pictures are better than words, and moving pictures ("talkies") are better still.
