Ever heard of furniture specifically made for 5.1ch surround sound? Err, you might have, but here’s some more anyway.
Matsushita Electric Works, known to the rest of the world for parent company Panasonic, is offering a new line of system furniture called the “CUBIOS High Class Spec.” Not only is it specifically designed for audio/video applications, I’m willing to call it well-equipped: it’s ready to go for sound, vibration, and cabling. Moreover, there are two “built in” components available as an option: speakers and/or a 100 inch screen. For those of you who already have a screen, you’ll be glad to know that the CUBIOS series can house flatscreens as large as 65 inches. Come to think of it, flatscreens that large barely exist. Because a Japanese company couldn’t release a product without doing something bizarrely Japanese, Matsushita has prepared planning software for potential buyers to download completely free of charge.
