Swiss company Medistick has launched its first and only product today, a USB flash drive that contains all of your medical records. While the idea seems pretty good, there are a few flaws with this system. Medistick doesn’t support Macs, at all. So what happens if you are unconscious and the hospital happens to only have Macs?
Also noted by Medistick is the fact that each USB flash drive can hold the records of up to five people. So unless the five people are chained together at all times, somebody will be SOL at some point or another. The Medistick goes for $58 and at this point it may be better to wait a couple of years until everyone has RFID medical information chips implanted.
