Marvel has just announced its most adorable-looking comic since Rocket Raccoon met Groot: Moon-Girl and Devil Dinosaur, a new series based on Jack Kirby’s cult-favorite 1978 comic Devil Dinosaur. Back in the 1970s, the titular big red T-rex, palled around in prehistory with the hairy ape-kid Moon-Boy. This time around his companion is a modern-day preteen girl who, judging by how happy she looks in the just-released concept sketches, is thrilled to be riding around on a friggin’ dinosaur, and deservedly so.
Moon-Girl and Devil Dinosaur will be written by Rocket Girl creators Brandon Montclare and Amy Reeder and drawn by Natacha Bustos, and will premiere sometime this fall.
