According to Alan Ritchson, who plays the character on Smallville, there are real plans for an Aquaman movie. Of course, it's an open question how much he would actually know about the status of such a project. Either way, he says that because water is so expensive to shoot, an Aquaman project will only ever be a movie, not a TV show. For his part, he says he would like to be involved, in theory. The Animators

Ruairi Robinson, the director of the well-received short film Blinky, has reportedly signed on to direct a thriller about "a crew of astronauts picked off one by one by a malevolent force." [/Film]

Here's a quick synopsis and sneak peek for episode 8, "Entrada": [TV Guide and Fringe Television]

Olivia searches for an ally; a device that can bridge the communication gap between universes is discovered by the Fringe team.

The Walking Dead

Michael Rooker discusses whether his character Merle is still around, and what presence he'll have in the next episode:

Well [laughs]…You can't assume anything. We left Merle with a small portion of his anatomy still hanging out there on the roof. We'll catch up to the rest of him one of these days, I'm almost sure of it. I think audiences will know my presence. I'm around. [Laughs.] I think there's going to be a reveal in the next episode. Obviously part of me is there, and needless to say my brother is a wee bit upset. They expected to find me there and I'm not. I don't wait for anyone. This guy has been doing things alone all his life.

The Event

The mid-season finale will reveal a lot about Sophia's people, as well as introduce a new alien played by Necar Zadegan who challenges Sophia for control. The other plots will see the president deal with a military crisis and Sam and Leila keep searching for Samantha, which leads Leila to a (yet another) big revelation about one of the characters. Stargate Universe

The final episode of this season will be called "Gauntlet" and is written by executive producer Paul Mullie. It will have the traditional massive season-ending cliffhanger, which fellow exec producer Joseph Mallozzi calls "gut-wrenching." [GateWorld]

Young Justice

Here's a synopsis and some great images for the premiere episode of the new animated series about DC's younger superheroes: [ComicBookMovie]

In the premiere episode, Robin, Speedy, Aqualad and Kid Flash are finally granted access to the headquarters of the Justice League. But when that access turns out to be little more than a glorified backstage pass, Speedy walks, and the other three sidekicks go on a mission of their own…to Project Cadmus, where they make a startling discovery.

We've got a lengthy synopsis, trailer, and a bunch of awesome photos for the alternate universe episode "Luthor", featuring the return of John Glover as Lionel Luthor: [Comic Book Resources]

Tess (Cassidy Freeman) acquires a Kryptonian box that once belonged to Lionel Luthor (John Glover). When Clark (Tom Welling) accidentally activates the box, he's transported to a parallel universe where Lionel found Clark in the cornfields instead of the Kents. In this universe, Clark Luthor is a murderer and Lois (Erica Durance) is engaged to Oliver (Justin Hartley) and both of them hate Clark. Clark must be careful not to tip off Lionel that he's not his son while trying to figure out how to get back to Earth where the monster Clark Luthor was transported in his place.

And here's the synopsis for the upcoming "Icarus":

HAWKMAN AND STAR GIRL RETURN! - The VRA is in full effect and things take an unfortunate turn of events after the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) tries to stop a mugging but is attacked by citizens for being a super hero. Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that the civilians who attacked Oliver were all marked with a darkness tattoo. Carter Hall (guest star Michael Shanks) and Star Girl (guest star Britt Irvin) return to help Clark deal with Slade's (guest star Michael Hogan) re-emergence after he kidnaps Lois (Erica Durance).
Cassidy Freeman also stars.
