Onkyo is the latest company to pledge allegiance to the HD DVD army, joining the ranks of all the other companies who have said they’ll be releasing content. But just like a lot of other companies who have joined one group or the other, they’re still sort of on the fence about things.
We haven’t joined [the Blu-ray Disc Association] yet, but are still continuing contact. It’s not as though we’re going to choose one or the other; we’ll look into it depending on our needs and the merit in the future.
I’m still not sure why Onkyo would even bother with this announcement; they’re primary an audio component maker anyway. HD DVD-Audio, maybe?
