Inspired by a dream about mantises, photographer and photographer Zana Briski created Reverence, an exhibit featuring photos, film, and music devoted to better understanding and appreciating these insects.
The video below is actually just the trailer for Reverence, but it teases how Briski (who won an Academy Award for her film Born into Brothels) frames her mantis images. The plan is for Reverence to travel to different city parks around the world, but there’s also an interactive digital book already out, which you can purchase through iTunes.
