Let’s Be Evil is a students-vs.-teachers movie, where the students are pint-sized brainiacs amassed in isolation, where they’re taught with virtual-reality tech that seems prone to going haywire. The teachers, if they can even be called that, are just a trio of chaperones who don’t seem to know what they’re doing. What could possibly go wrong?

Here’s the official description:

Three chaperones are hired to supervise an advanced learning program for gifted children, who wear Augmented Reality Glasses to assist in their education. Contained within a secure, underground facility, events quickly spiral out of control.

A modern sci-fi thriller that takes as inspiration the ‘evil children’ subgenre of horror and infuses it with innovative virtual reality effects and stylish direction, Let’s Be Evil is an unnerving exploration of the next generation of fear.

That synth soundtrack is very on point with the whole “fear the future” theme, no? Let’s Be Evil hits VOD and other digital platforms on August 5.
