This is a well mixed batch of water colored with balsamic vinegar and oil poured into a glass bowl and lit from below.

I set up a plastic glass with vertical stripes and filled it with water. I took it with my Canon XTi.

This one was taken with my Nikon D40 and the kit lens at 55mm in the Program mode. The ISO was 800, f/5.6 and the shutter speed was 1/15s

I used mostly olive oil, water and a mixture of red, green and blue food coloring for the shot. I lit the mixture with a flashlight shown through the sides of a glass bowl.

I filled up a wine decanter with water and poured in some canola oil. I placed a four-color spin-light and a black sheet behind the decanter and took the photo lying down.

To get the oil to bubble on top of the water I pulled oil into a straw and then blew the oil out at the bottom of the water.

This is a glass of water dyed with blue food coloring and vegetable oil. I stirred the oil to create a whirlpool, then snapped the shot. I used a Canon Rebel XT, Canon 24-105 lens @105mm, f/11, 1/200 sec, and ISO 200.

I took some red-dyed water and dripped it into a glass of vegetable oil, then stirred it around a bit, jammed my lens into the glass and took a few photos.

I put grape seed oil in a pan with green food coloring and heated to high temperature. Then added an ice cube while the pan was hot.

Photo was taken using a Nikon D90 Camera, 18-135mm Lens with Kenko Extension tubes, and Promaster 7500 EDF external flash(F/5.6, ISO 200, 1/50).

I put a CD into a shallow dish of water to begin. As I pressed the CD down I got a thumb print on the disc which is visible in the shot. I then put a few drops of vegetable oil into the water, over top of the CD, and moved one into the shot above the thumb print.

This oil was just regular vegetable oil and I used a spray bottle to spray water in it. This was done on a glass baking dish that I put white paper under the baking dish.
