Soldam PANDORA RHAPSODY 7″ Cube PC Case

Not only is Soldam’s new “PANDORA RHAPSODY” case one of the smallest on the block, I’m perfectly willing to say it’s one of the coolest looking, too. Measuring only 7-inches (185mm) across, tall, and deep, the PANDORA RHAPSODY case needs a small motherboard; one of these mini-ITX deals. In fact, it even comes with a motherboard—the included “LV-671″ from Taiwan’s Commell supports Pentium M thanks to its Intel 855GME chipset. It also comes pre-equipped with a slim Panasonic DVD burner, meaning you won’t have to go searching for one. Other specifications include a DDR333 RAM slot, mini-PCI slot, PCI slot, and your normal range of interfaces. One of the two slots, the 5-inch bay slot is occupied by the Panasonic drive. The other, the 3.5-inch one, I guess you need for your hard drive.

Soldam has begun taking preorders for the PANDORA RHAPSODY as of yesterday for Japanese consumers, and they estimate shipping on the 15th of December. They’re paying about 70,000 yen (about $680 USD) for the case — keep in mind that it comes with a motherboard and optical drive, so that’s not too steep. In fact, for under $1000 USD, you could make yourself a pretty nice 7” cube PC that even an art major could appreciate. They wouldn’t, though, because they hate it when we get uppity.
