Square CD Would Go Great in a Futuristic 1980s Living Room

Because everything looks better in flat-panel form, the Square CD is sure to turn on everyone who loves their tech to be flashy and conspicuous. It mounts on the wall and looks unsuspecting ’til touched, then it lights up and starts playing your music.

Perhaps the designers, Matteo Bertanelli, Michele di Monte, Chiara Cremona, and Andrea Biraghi, didn’t get the memo that as a format the CD is dead. Too bad, cause it’s a nice looking concept, but it’s about as logical as creating a flashy, high-tech record player at this point.
