Take a Look Inside the Secret Google X Life Sciences Lab

In the past year, Google X's secretive life science division has been tantalizing us with seriously cool-sounding shit: contact lens that monitor glucose, cancer-tracking nanoparticles, etc etc. The Atlantic has made the first video from inside the lab and—oh, were you actually expecting Google to unload a bunch of secrets? Nah. But hey look, it's some fake human arms.

The arms are for a project making disease-tracking nanoparticles that can be detected by shining a laser through the skin. This sounds incredibly exciting but also incredibly pie in the sky, which naturally has everyone buzzing. By all accounts, whatever Google X is developing will take years to come to fruition. We'll have to wait and see, though we'll be waiting just as impatiently as everyone else. [The Atlantic]

Human skin.

Google, the company that owns Boston Dynamics, is making realistic-looking arms and hands, and is experimenting with human skin. Think about it.

It is well past time for Congress to ban research that will lead to The Terminator!
