It’s Dean Israelite, who just directed the found-footage time travel movie Project Almanac earlier this year. Almanac didn’t make a ton of money — only $22 million according to Box Office Mojo — but that was still nearly double its budget, and apparently Lionsgate really liked his pitch.
Somehow I doubt that pitch included profanity and nudity, but one can dream. Assuming all goes well, this new Power Rangers movie will debut on July 22nd, 2016.
