The first trailer for Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange kept things pretty small. But at Comic-Con, the second trailer has been revealed, and it actually shows some of the magic the film contains—both literal and figurative—as well as the potential impact Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) could have on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It you have misgivings about the movie, this trailer won’t change that, but at least the film looks uniquely trippy—harkening back to that classic ‘60s Marvel weirdness that defined the character’s adventures, but now in a decidedly modern fashion. Doctor Strange opens November 4. It co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen.
