Ten years ago, a plague wiped out all of the women and children in a secluded mountain town and transformed the men into monsters. Now only two orphans, Albert and Jonas, remain, hiding from the monsters and telling tales of the girl who will save them all.

Director Paw Charlie Ravn’s To Venner (Two Friends) was the winner of the Danish Academy Award for Best Short Film of 2011. It is a grotesquely beautiful film, one that pairs its horrors with a tender tale of friendship amidst a wasteland.
