This is a Google Maps Satellite View of Yucca Flat, one of the Nevada Nuclear Test Sites. Over 739 nuclear tests were run between 1951 and 1992 which has left the region scarred and pockmarked to this day.
Yucca Flat is known as the “most nuclear blasted spot on the face of the Earth.” And some of the craters are gigantic! The biggest is the Sedan Crater which is 1280 feet wide and 320 feet deep. That’s like 4 football fields across and 1 football field deep yo.
