Aspiring filmmaker Alex Popov took $150 of his cash* and shot this gorgeous and deliciously fun concept trailer for Goliath, a movie about an alien invasion, mecha suits, future cold wars and the apocalypse.
Using bits of movie scores and pieces of footage from here and there, along with plenty of original footage, Popov created this masterpiece. If Goliath was a real movie and came out this year, it would probably be better than any other action movie we’ve seen in 2011.
* – The $150 figure has been called into question in a few places, mostly because it seems ridiculously low, not even covering the cost of the props in this trailer. But that’s the number that’s been bandied about.
