There are two new models of TomTom GO GPS systems on the table, both of which appear to be fairly well-featured. The “700” and “300” follow suit of previous TomTom GO models, but the “700” eliminates the SD slot and adds an integrated 2.5GB hard drive as well as Bluetooth functionality. Hell, it even has an RF remote control now. The 300, on the other hand, remains with the SD slot and lacks Bluetooth and remote control. No word on price yet, but I’m pretty sure it is still cheaper to buy a road atlas.
CTIA: New TomTom GO 300 and 700 with Bluetooth [ChaitGear]
Update: David from ChaitGear qualifies:
Just to clarify, the TomTom GO 300 >does< have BT built in, but only usable for GPRS comms for the PLUS data service — whereas the GO 700 has the full handsfree tech. Actually, the entire 2005 range has support for the PLUS service (as they're all BT based): TomTom GO 700, TomTom GO 500, TomTom GO 300, TomTom MOBILE 5, TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 and TomTom RIDER.
